The CLIVAR I5 Cruise: RR0903, March-April-May 2009

The R/V Roger Revelle began an epic 58-day transect of the Indian Ocean from Cape Town, South Africa on March 20, 2009. This transect, nicknamed "I5", is the latest mission in the US Global Ocean Carbon and Repeat Hydrography program. Funded by the National Science Foundation and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the I5 cruise will conduct a boundary-to-boundary, full-depth CTDO/LADCP/hydrographic/carbon/tracer profiling and sampling program at stations along 32S from South Africa to Australia.
