CLIVAR I5 Weekly Science Report 0810 May 2009R/V Roger Revelle from Jim Swift, SIO, Chief Scientist and Greg Johnson, NOAA/PMEL, Co-Chief Scientist 32.1°S, 112.3°E; 1630 Z (2330 local);19.0°C (66°F); Winds 18 knots from SE; On station 186 We have had a productive week of sunny days, light winds (until tonight), smoothly-run casts, and excellent food, with all hands focusing on getting the work done well. The cruise has become the CTD/hydrographic version of the movie "Groundhog Day", with the days all but indistinguishable. But there are only 9 more stations to complete. We have sample analyses to run after our final station on Tuesday, and expect to be at the dock in Fremantle the morning of Wednesday, May 13th. We will send a final report soon. |
