Are there special considerations of the science party or cruise scheduling?
Consider science time constraints; coordination of equipment shipping;
two-ship operations; weather windows; mooring turn-around; teaching schedules
and others that will affect scheduling decisions.

Other Special Equipment; Equipment Requiring Special Handling, Storage or
Installation; Comments:
-----------------------
This form does not allow full entry of multi-cruise request.
We propose deployment of borehole instrumentation using MPL Control Vehicle.
3 cruises requested here:
(1) Test cruise early in year 2 using large DP-ship, 4 days on site off San
Diego
(2) Deployment cruise late in year 2, using large DP-ship, 15 days on site in
Panama Basin
(3) Data recovery cruise late in year 3, using ALVIN or JASON, 2 days on site
in Panama Basin
Times above are time on site; transit days need to be figured in!
Second and third cruises would probably involve one Central American port,
another port to be named, consistent with ship schedules.
Second cruise would also involve deployment of PGC heat flow probe on trawl
wire.
