APPENDIX I
Nos preponemos realizar encuestas oceanográficas de los 300m superiores del océano en la región 3-8.5N, 85-105w del 10 de de junio - el 22 de julio 2001. Las medidas serán hechas de velocidad,temperatura, salinidad, presión, y viento, usando shipboard y los profilers remolcados, y el seguir deboyas que mandilan. El propósito es observar forzar del viento de la corriente del contador en la región.Los resultados serán utilizados en formular ideas de la circulación y del clima del océano.
We intend to perform oceanographic surveys of the top 300m of ocean in theregion 3-8.5N,85-105W from 10 June - 22 July 2001. Measurements will be made of velocity, temperature, salinity, pressure, and wind, using shipboard and towed profilers, and tracking of drifting buoys. The purpose is to observe the wind forcing of the counter current in the region. The results will be used in formulating ideas of ocean circulation and climate.
