Hi Tom and Woody,

Please be advised that we wish to designate Ron Siefert (U Md) as Chief Scientist during the first leg of the Michaels/ Capone Revelle cruise (13 Jul to 5 Aug). Furthermore, I will take over those duties for the second leg (5 to 23 Aug). Tony Michaels will be on board for the first portion of leg two but we will need to make a brief stop on 16 Aug for Tony to get off for other obligations.
Unfortunately, because of our schedules this summer, neither Tony nor I can act effectively as primary point of contact for the scientific party. I have asked Michael Neumann who you met at the pre-cruise meeting, to serve in this capacity. Michael has already been in touch with Kristen in this regard. We will ask the scientific party to try to channel requests thru Michael.
However, I have taken responsibility for dealing with isotope issues and have been in contact with Sandy O'Brien in this regard.
